Lisboa 21-06-2014

18:45 and I'm in the metro back home, going to the shopping centre first to see how long the journey from my hotel to work will take. Man these subways remind me of Rotterdam...back in the 80's...graffiti, hard seats and packed as fuck.

Woke up at 8 and it was raining...because I understood that my generous host wanted me to help with some shopping. So away we went at 9 to what I thought was the local LIDL.

Little did I know we went on a tour around the outskirts of Lisboa. If I knew I would have brought along my phone for photos, I'm still pissed about it, but there is always another time.

I must say that it was a lovely ride after the rain had cleared. It was cool to see the old fashioned stalls at the side of the road.

Our first stop after the LIDL was a small bakery/ wine yard, I had my first pastel de natal..muito bom. I was allowed to have a look inside and just love the old fashioned style of making pastry and break. After that we drove a bit further and I saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. Had a coffee and enjoyed the sights.

Went back home and delivered some of the bread.

Then I went for another metro run this time to the harbours at Santa Apalonia, walked around and enjoyed the sights..wasn't a big fan of all the drug dealers though. NÃO HASJISH NÃO NÃO

On the way back (right where I started this post) I discovered it will take roughly 20 mins, which is good.
Then decided to walk home from work to where I stay now (and might stay if I can't find a place in 2 weeks)

30 mins..
No map..
Only memory..
Success!
